Most of us have a favourite time of year. - A favourite season. Is it a memory that invokes some special reason that you like a particular time of year?
Is it the heat of Summer that you seek?
Is it the fresh, bracing Winter air that makes you feel invigorated and alive? Or is it the renewal of life and the blossoming of new growth of Spring that delights you? The colours of Autumn leaves hold a special place in many people's heart. Whatever it is for you, the arrival of your favourite season can feel refreshing and allows you to feel especially bonded with the coming months ahead. Similarly, the approach of your least favourite season can fill you with a sense of dread. Cold nights and chilly mornings of winter can make some people feel very sad and even depressed. While others delight in sitting beside warm fires, catching up on reading, and doing all those wonderful indoor activities that they put off "for a rainy day". Enjoying crafts, chatting with friends, or a sense of hibernation from the cold can bring some people comfort. While the trees have an uncanny knowing when the seasons are changing, do we? Can we adjust to the seasonal changes around us as well? Do you feel that urge to get fit just because it is warmer and easier to exercise? Or is your motivation high and it does not matter what is going on "out there", you just get on with life, year 'round?
